Rondo (Chapter Two: Transformation)

The room was filled with a strange silence, until the birds started chirping. I tried to keep out of the sunlight as much as possible since it was expanding. We have to keep her trapped in here, there's no way she's leaving out of our sight. "EH?!?" she shouted, about to fall off of the bed.
In a second, Risa ran over to the bed and caught Ai-chan, who let out that infamous yelp. I started laughing, but started to move to a corner when even more brightness kept shining through the window.

"Ai-chan?" A woman knocked on the door, her voice a little muffled. My wonky eyes grew even bigger and wider as we heard the creaking of the open door. "Quickly!" I whispered to Risa as I found a closet. I opened the door and closed it quietly, eavesdropping on Ai-chan and her mother's conversation.

"Oh! You're awake!" Takahashi-san's voice was obviously filled with glee. I rolled my eyes, putting my ear to the wall. Risa's back was to the wall. I think she was feeling a little hot, probably due to the humidity of the closet.

"Uh..yeah.." Ai-chan replied, her voice sounding a little shaky. She's still shocked about her becoming a vampire. Risa shook also. I grabbed her arm, whispering, "Are you okay?" "What are we going to do Reina?" Risa finally whispered.

That was a good question, because I have no idea on what we were going to do...Ai-chan can't go out in the day, she's already starting to become a vampire. Hmm.....
"Risa, I have a plan." I whispered, ignoring the conversation between Ai-chan and her mother. "What is it?" Risa asked, curiousity rising in her voice. "Just follow me okay?" I asked Risa with my big wonky eyes. She nodded as we heard the door close.

This is not going to look good. When Reina has plans, it would turn into a disaster. My heartbeat was going faster and faster. At least my body was cooling down as I came out of the closet. I saw Ai-chan looking at us with a scared look. She needs to stop being afraid.

"Listen you two, I have to go to the picnic with Eri. I can't miss it." Ai-chan went over to her bathroom, getting white towels and a white washcloth. "Set it for the sunset Ai-chan." A wave of coldness was now filling the room. That was your plan Reina?! That was a stupid idea! What if Ai-chan turns into a vampire at that point!?

"I'm not sure about that." Ai-chan replied, getting her soap. I sighed. "Come on, Ai-chan!" I grabbed her by the wrists, looking into her scared eyes. "Please?" Somehow, my whisper sounded like I was begging. I could tell that from behind me Reina rolled those wonky eyes of hers.

Ai-chan thought about it for a few seconds. "Fine." she muttered. I let go of her and she went into the bathroom door, closing it behind her. I was gazing for five minutes until Reina hit my hip. "What was that?" she whispered as she pulled me over to Ai-chan's bed. "Uh...I was trying to act like Rika?" I asked innocently, looking outside. Brightness stopped shining through the window, since it was already the afternoon. Reina was talking, but I wasn't really listening.
I'm still worried about Ai-chan. She has a lot to think about, and I don't blame her. I have an odd feeling that we are going to fail, but at least she fell for my cuteness. "Risa, are you blushing?" Reina asked me, giving me a smirk. "No.." I replied, tugging at the ends of my dress. "Listen up," she whispered. "We're going to let Ai-chan go to that picnic with Eri, but we're going to follow her." I nodded, of course we are going to follow her.

A few minutes later, Ai-chan came out of her bathroom wearing a pink shirt with blue jeans and pink sneakers. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail. I could feel my cheeks heating up. This girl was going to become a vampire?

"So, what do you think?" Ai-chan asked. I thought we were supposed to be training her, but oh my god, she's so cute! "Beautiful." Reina and I said at the same time, giving each other mean looks. Noon was turning into sunset as we got to know Ai-chan. The orange hue was peeking through the window. "I'm going to go," Ai-chan warned before opening the door. "Don't you guys make my room a catastrophe." "Yes Ai-chan." Reina and I again, said at the same time. We smirked, going to the window and opened it, seeing Ai-chan walking in the middle of the street.

"Are you ready?" Reina asked me as we saw her disappearing from our sight. "Yes." I replied, jumping from the window as Reina got out of the window, but she closed it before jumping down.
"Let's go." She said as we kept our eyes focused on Ai-chan the entire time.

I tried to keep my mind off of the entire vampire thing. Even though those two girls were my trainers, it's...impossible. I noticed Eri sitting in the middle of the park. She was with another girl, Michishige Sayumi. I walked over to the two girls, but I started sniffing like a dog. Why am I doing this? I'm not a dog!

This is a different scent, and I could smell it the more I get closer to the two girls. It was a strong scent. It was making me hungry. "Blood." I whispered as I stopped walking, getting a weird look from Eri and Sayumi.

"Where were you Ai-chan?" Eri asked me with concern. I bit my lip, but I pierced my lips with my own teeth. Am I growing fangs? "My mom wanted me to go shopping Eri-chan, I'm sorry." That was a complete lie, but I can't tell her I'm a vampire, and I'm transforming right now. "I have to get going now though, I just wanted to let you know." I told her. I needed to get away from this place, and fast.

"Okay then Ai-chan, I understand." Eri waved, and I waved back.
I finally sat down at a tree after running far away from the park. I didn't smell any blood, but I still had my fangs. I noticed my trainers smirking at me.

"Now do you believe us?" Reina's question sounded more like a statement. I nodded, looking at the moon and licking my fangs. Risa gave me another gazed look. She sat down next to me, taking my hand in hers. What is she doing? "C-can we go home?" I asked, shaking a little. Risa helped me up and put her arm around my shoulder, calming me down. My face turned redder and redder at her touch. "Sure." Reina replied, shrugging her shoulders.

However, I could still smell blood all around me, but it wasn't as rich as Eri or Sayumi's blood. I kind of wonder why though.

"I know you're still curious about smelling the blood and all, but we will teach you that tomorrow." Reina told me, giving me a smirk as we walked home. Gosh, she smirks a lot.
"To be honest," I spoke shyly. "I'm really starting to like this vampire thing." Reina and Risa both grinned at each other, then they looked at me.

Still, I have a long way to go.
