Rondo (Chapter Three: Progress)

Ugh, sorry for not updating as much minna-san! :(

Once the three of us got to Ai-chan's house, I noticed that it was dark. "Were we out a little too late?" I asked, a little confused. "No," Ai-chan replied, scratching the back of her head. "My family goes to sleep early." Reina and I just looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders. She has one weird family. It's only 9 pm.

"I think I can go in the front door," Ai-chan decided, unlocking it. She's still in her vampire form, but if her family is asleep, I guess I shouldn't worry that much, then again, I'm still worried about her. I jumped on a tree branch that was near Ai-chan's bedroom window and opened the window, climbing inside. Reina was following me, closing the window behind her.

Ai-chan opened her bedroom door and closed it, turning the bedroom light on. She looked at us and let out her tiny manly yelp. Reina and I started laughing, while Ai-chan was throwing pillows at us. This made me laugh even harder. "Don't ever do that again!" Ai-chan whispered to us, hitting us with another pillow. "Ow.." I whined, slowly getting up from the huge pile of pillows. "That's what you guys get for scaring me." Ai-chan stuck out her tongue, getting her blue nightgown and going to the bathroom.

I looked over at Reina, who just glared at me with her wonky eyes. "What?" I whispered, moving away from her. She didn't say anything, but she kept moving closer. It was scaring me. What does she want? "What?" I repeated a little louder. I was trying not to make any noise because the house was quiet.

"You like her don't you?" Reina asked me with that trademark smirk. I put my hand over my mouth to keep from yelling. Reina knows me very well. I just simply nodded. Reina shook her head and pointed to me asking, "You do know that we have to train this girl to become a vampire, right?" "Yes." I replied, sighing in defeat. She's always focused on her job. Reina just stared at me until Ai-chan came back inside and climbed in her bed. "Good night." Ai-chan whispered before she was sleeping peacefully.

"I'm going to tell Yossie and Miki how Ai-chan's is doing so far," Reina stood up and opened the window. "Are you coming?" I looked at her, and then I looked at Ai-chan, who was somehow sleeping peacefully. Gosh, she looks gorgeous even when she's sleeping. "I'm going to stay here." I replied, my eyes still on Ai-chan.

"That's fine with me." Reina said before getting out of the window and closing it. I went over to a chair and sat down in it.

The hideout wasn't very far away from Ai-chan's house at all. Actually, it was a few blocks away, which is perfect for walking...I guess. Risa likes Ai-chan. This is the first time I've ever seen her stare at another vampire like that. But we do have a job here, and it could possibly jeopardize her training other vampires.

Several minutes later, I entered the building, and I noticed a tall girl who is a vampire also. Her name is JunJun. "Hi JunJun." I greeted her with a straight face. She didn't say anything back, but she did stare at me for a long period of time. Why is she gazing at me like that? "Hi Reina." She replied. I rolled my eyes and asked, "Where's Yossie and Miki?"

JunJun fiddled with her thumbs, trying to come up with the best answer. "Come on, I don't have all night!" I demanded, my voice echoing in the building. "They're doing something." JunJun mumbled quickly. I don't even want to know.

"Well, can you tell them that Ai-chan has just turned into a vampire?" I asked, hoping that JunJun would reply. She simply nodded, and wrote something down on a piece of paper.

"Aren't you supposed to go out hunting for blood?" I blurted, covering my hand over my mouth. I really need to shut up, but then again, I'm really curious. "Today's my day off from hunting for blood, but Yossie wants me to stay here for...um.." She fiddled with her thumbs. Why is she doing that? "It's okay, I don't want to know." I waved my hand, but she grabbed it. I looked up, and her eyes were growing bigger and bigger. "Sorry again." She muttered, looking down at her shoes. What the heck?

"Do you want to help me around here?" JunJun questioned, looking around the building. I perused the building also, noticing some other vampires. Risa's with Ai-chan, and there's nothing else to do. "Whatever." I replied, helping the taller girl. I just hope Risa doesn't get in trouble.

I can't sleep. Not with Risa staring at me like some hungry maniac. It's like she wants to do or say something to me. I closed my eyes, and then I opened them again. Just go to sleep Ai, just go to sleep...

Crap. I opened my eyes for the umpteenth time and whispered, "Risa?" There was no response coming from my trainer. "Risa?" I whispered a little louder, this time she walked over to my bed and climbed in the covers. My face was red like crazy.

"Yes?" she whispered, taking my hand. I don't think I can breathe at the moment. "I can't sleep." I replied, wondering if Reina was in the room yet. "You're funny Ai-chan." she giggled. What? Does that have anything to do with my question? No. But it was kind of funny....

How?" I wondered, heat still rising to my cheeks. "I can't tell you." Risa replied, still holding my hand.

Yep, there's something she wants to tell me, but she doesn't want to say it. It's so obvious Niigaki Risa. You like me.

Somehow, I fell asleep, and I had a good dream too.
