Bunny Princess (Chapter Two: Lunch Break)

Lunchtime. The time to eat my bento on the roof of the school, where I can look up at the sky and think about the morning. I smiled, getting my bento and heading to the stairs. Today's going to be different though. I get to think about-

"Sayu!" Eri waved to me, heading in my direction. I started running up the stairs, and it was a stupid decision. In five seconds, Eri grabbed my hand and gave me a quick peck on the cheek. "What was that about? I don't want my princess to run away from me."

I froze. I didn't know what to say. A princess? Me? She's...so.....

"I got nervous," I replied, looking down at our hands. "My prince." I looked up at her, giving her a smile.

We finally got to the roof, and I closed the door behind me. Eri's eyes were big as we went to sit at a bench. Wow, she was really scared.

"We're on the roof of the school." she whispered, looking at me. "Yeah, I come here." I replied. Eri's eyes were sparkling once again.

"Hey, it's going to be alright." I opened my bento that was filled with sushi rolls. 'Okay Usa-chan, time for you to eat.' I thought, happily taking out my chopsticks and eating the sushi. Eri opened her bento slowly, and she chewed her food slowly, not saying anything. No wonder Koharu calls her turtle!

"Sayu?" she asked me, giving me a concerned look. "Huh?" I replied. That was the stupidest thing you can ever say Sayu. "Um, can I have one?" "Oh, sure." I let her take one. She blushed and smiled. "Thank you." "You're welcome!" I beamed, my smile getting bigger.

"So, who's that girl that was shouting your name earlier?" I froze. "Her name is Kusumi Koharu, she's my kouhai," I explained. "We talk about what's going on with each other, it's kind of like how you talk to a friend I guess." Eri nodded, swallowing the sushi roll.

"I see, I was getting jealous for a moment." Wait...what did she say?

OH MY GOD, SHE LIKES ME?!?

"Er.." I was about to say something until the school bell rang. It's a very loud bell. I closed my bunny lunchbox, and I walked down the stairs with Eri following close behind.

Unfortunately, we didn't have all the same classes. I had to take art, while she had to take cooking. I wished her good luck, and went to my class.
