My Vengeful Savior-.01///Rebellion

.01///Rebellion

Sooyoung should have known that asking her parents if she could begin training as a knight would be a mistake.

"Why not?" she asked sternly, her lips taut and pale. "You let Taeyeon do it!" She let out a heavy sigh. This wasn't the first time she asked her parents for permission; she waited each week, and then she would question them.

"Sooyoung, we don't want you to be harmed." her mother replied. Sooyoung looked at her father, but he nodded in agreement. "Taeyeon may have taught you all of those techniques, but you shall forget about them."

Sooyoung didn't understand. Taeyeon was her sister after all, she was the only person Sooyoung looked up to. Normally, she would let something like this go, but she couldn't take it anymore. She had to speak up.

"Why?" she questioned, her fists clenched. Her father let out a small sigh and muttered angrily, "You're not going to train as a knight, Sooyoung. End of story. Now leave."

"Fine, I will." Sooyoung snarled, pushing the door open as she exited the room. She headed straight for the kitchen, searching for nothing in particular.

"It didn't work, huh?" A girl with black hair asked, giving a sympathetic look. Sooyoung shook her head, grabbing a bottle of water. "I'm not going to give up though." The girl chuckled. "What's so funny Kwon Yuri?" Sooyoung raised an eyebrow. Yuri just shook her head in response.

"It's nothing," Yuri paused before continuing. "You do realize you can train without your parents noticing, right?"

Sooyoung almost coughed drinking her water. "Are you crazy?"

"Listen, you want to become a knight because the enemies killed Taeyeon, right?" Sooyoung slowly nodded. "Then just train, I'll cover for you." "Are you sure Yuri? You know there are servants around..." she whispered the last part as she noticed a few servants strolling by the kitchen. "Oh, I know," Yuri replied, smirking. "You know I come up with the perfect lies."

"Thanks Yul, I knew I could count on you." Sooyoung smiled. "No problem." Yuri giggled. "So, when are you planning on training?"

"I'm going to train tomorrow," Sooyoung replied. "Wish me luck." "Don't worry you'll do well," she looked up at the clock. "Looks like I have to go. Yoong is so going to prank me once I get home." She huffed and waved goodbye to Sooyoung, who was laughing. "Bye Yul!"

"Good luck!" Yuri shouted to Sooyoung, exiting the home afterwards.

Yuri has been Sooyoung's friend since they were ten. Yuri felt terrible when she found out that Taeyeon passed away, but she helped Sooyoung feel better and told her never to give up like Taeyeon had told Sooyoung before she left for battle.

In other words, Yuri was like Sooyoung's second older sister even though they were two months apart. She also had a younger sister named Yoona, who loves to joke around and play pranks. She also lived in a seperate home with Yoona, but they would visit their parents' house regularly, which wasn't too far away from them.

A knot formed in Sooyoung's stomach as she slept that night. She couldn't believe she was doing this, but it was for Taeyeon.

Yuri, I hope you come up with something good for tomorrow...

4 years later...

"So, how does it feel to turn nineteen, Almighty Knight?" Yuri teased. "It feels great," Sooyoung replied as she gulped down the last of her birthday cake. "Ah, I'm so full."

Ever since the day when Sooyoung started training with one of Taeyeon's former trainers, Yuri covered for her. Surprisingly, Sooyoung's parents and the servants were oblivious since they were too busy with their own activities.

Tomorrow, Sooyoung was to leave home and get prepared to go to the enemy's region. Her eyes narrowed at the sudden mention of the battle. She wasn't nervous since this was her fourth battle, but something about this battle was special; she couldn't put her finger on it.

"Are you going to miss home?" Yuri's voice interrupted her thoughts, making her jump. "Yeah," she said, already reminiscing the old times as usual. "You should come with me." she suggested. Yuri shrugged. "I don't know, Sooyoung-" "You can bring Yoong with you," Sooyoung interrupted. "You two can stay in a nearby village." Yuri hesitated before making her decision, "Okay, it will be a good experience."

Sooyoung grinned. "Alright, tell Yoong about this, and I'll come over to your house at 3 AM as we are set to leave a few minutes later." Yuri laughed, nodding. "Okay, Almighty Knight."

Sooyoung dreamt about Taeyeon for the billionth time that night. Her dreams always contained Taeyeon's words, teachings, and various things they used to do when they were kids. Sooyoung was still amazed how she survived all these battles. In one of the dreams, Taeyeon had told Sooyoung that she wished her good luck for the upcoming battle, but she will experience something new during this battle.

Sooyoung shot up, turned on the lamp, and looked at the clock.

1:35 AM.

That was odd...what on Earth is Taeyeon talking about? Oh well, I should get ready.

Sooyoung opened the closet door, searching for her knight uniform. It took her a while to get dressed in her uniform. By that time, it was 2:45 AM. She had to get to Yuri's house quickly. She grabbed her tools, turned off the lights, and snuck out of the house.

"Kim Sooyoung, where do you think you're going?" Sooyoung groaned as the lights to the main hall were suddenly flicked on. She looked at the door.

So close...

"I'm leaving." she simply retorted, giving her father a stern look. "I have to leave, Father. Tell Mother I said goodbye."

With that, she left, heading over to Yuri's house. She didn't care about what her parents thought, what mattered the most was battling those other knights.

She saw Yuri and Yoona standing outside of their home, already packed. "I see you two are ready." Sooyoung said with a chuckle. "Of course, unnie," Yoona replied. "We're always prepared." "Whatever Yoong." Sooyoung stuck out her tongue.

"Let's go, they're waiting for us." She noticed the crowd of other knights and citizens prepared for their leave.

While they were heading to one of the villages, Sooyoung thought about the dream she had earlier. It was quite weird. The majority of the dreams she had was Taeyeon telling her about love. Then again, it was a dream.

"Ah, here's one of the villages!" Sooyoung pointed. "It's closer to the region, so Yuri, you and Yoong can stay here." "Unnie, it looks nice!" Yoona shouted. "Good luck Sooyoung." Yuri whispered, hugging Sooyoung before she ran off with Yoona.

Sooyoung waved goodbye before continuing the short walk. "Okay guys, you know what to do," Sooyoung put on her helmet, grabbing her sword. "Let's have a successful battle." The leader looked at Sooyoung and smiled. Sooyoung gave a slight nod.

It was time.
