My Vengeful Savior-.02///Surrender

.02///Surrender

Hyoyeon stared at the wall on the opposite side of the dark room as if it was a block. She didn't know what she was doing in this empty room anyway; there was nothing productive to do but just simply stare into space.

She wanted her parents.

Earlier, she was seperated from them and thrown into this cold room. Hyoyeon looked at the bruises on her arms and legs. She clenched her jaw in anger and her eyes darted over to the door right next to her.

What am I doing here anyway?

Being trapped in a room made her feel uncomfortable.

I wonder what Mother and Father are doing right now...

"Don't kill her!"

The sudden shout came from her mother. Hyoyeon froze.

Kill her? What's Mother talking about?

"Your daughter is mute! She's a useless slave! She deserves it!" A man roared at the top of his lungs. Hyoyeon shuddered; they were talking about her. Not only did she practically shiver that the man was going to kill her, but she recognized his voice.

Master Jung was the head of the region and the master of the slaves. Hyoyeon never knew his first name, but she did know he had a daughter who was the same age as her.

And right now, he wants to kill her.

"I won't let you." Hyoyeon snapped out of her trance and continued eavesdropping. She heard Master Jung clear his throat. "Okay then," he started. "I won't do it." Her parents sighed with relief.

Master Jung chuckled and continued, "I will kill you instead!"

She suddenly heard screaming and an eruption of laughter later. Suddenly, the door flew open, and Master Jung stood in front of her with an evil grin on his face. His clothes were bloodstained, and the knife he held in his left hand was covered in blood.

"Come Hyoyeon," he instructed in a sickengly sweet tone. "I'm going to introduce you to your new master."

Hyoyeon obliged, following Master Jung to one of his sections of the big palace. They reached a narrow door with the name printed, "JESSICA" on it.

Ah, so that's his daughter.

He opened the door, walking in on his daughter, who almost jumped.

"FATHER! Don't scare me like-" Jessica stared at Hyoyeon with a confused facial expression. Hyoyeon just glared at her; she could already tell that she wasn't going to like this girl.

She was right.

"Daddy, I don't like this girl."

I never liked you.

"You're going to have to deal with it, Jessica," her father sighed. "She's your new slave." Jessica paused for a minute.

"My slave?" Master Jung nodded. "Fine," She smiled. "At least I can make her do something productive that I don't want to do."

Why me?

Hyoyeon wanted to scream and run away, but she couldn't. All she could simply do was run, but she remembered the knife in Master Jung's hand and her parents.

Mother, Father...

She never expected her parents to be killed. Never. They lived a very happy life as citizens until the entire region was taken over by Master Jung. When he took control, Hyoyeon and her parents were automatically slaves.

I miss you...

She clenched her jaw in frustration. First, her parents' death, now she had a new master, and she was even worse than Master Jung himself.

"I shall leave." Master Jung left the room, closing the door behind him. Jessica smirked and asked, "So you're the mute slave, Kim Hyoyeon if I'm correct, right?" Hyoyeon simply nodded.

"I'm going to have a lot of fun with you, Hyoyeon."
=======================================================
Hyoyeon heard various noises outside, and it annoyed her.

She knew about the other region that was going to battle them. She heard about the new knight, Kim Taeri. She wanted to escape and go with them. But it was hopeless. How was she supposed to leave with them? She would be killed.

"Yah!" Jessica called. Hyoyeon turned around. "Get me fruit from the kitchen." Hyoyeon let out a huff, walking towards the kitchen.

Once again, she asked herself why she was put in this position. From being a happy young girl, to being a slave, and to being alone.

She grabbed a banana and headed back to Jessica's room, who was too busy writing random stories. She looked up and smiled, "Now that's a good girl."

Hyoyeon just gave a slight nod and sat down in a chair, waiting for more demands.

As Jessica was writing, Hyoyeon thought about a hero. The definition of heroes and saviors suddenly popped in her mind.

She wished that a knight would break into this trapped prison, save her, and take her to their peaceful region.

Peace. That was her wish. Peace and happiness.

However, she knew no one was going to save her.

But she had a gut feeling that in the future, someone will fufill her wish.
